Ceative Lab Exercises ༄
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week, I completed a creative lab exercise using the camera skills that I've learnt to date.
Exercise 1
For this image, my aim was to stand in the same place and take many pictures. Out of the 24 images that I've taken, I decided to choose this one as I like the way my shoes stand out from the background. However, I found that most of my photos could be a little lighter.
Exercise 2
While I was taking various images this week, I decided to include my hand in some of the frames, and I ended up really liking the outcome. They were a little tricky to take, as I was holding the camera with one hand so I had to take multiple shots so that my photographs aren't too blurry, but it was really fun!
Exercise 3
For the capture of this image, I had to choose one subject and place it somewhere, then continue with taking multiple shots of it from different angles. However, I couldn't help myself but focus on this leaf that I found in the water. I think that there's a very interesting contrast between the darkened water and rocks compared to the bright autumnal leaf. I think that it elevates the entire image.
Exercise 4
For this task, I took an image of a scene that I liked. I happened to choose this specific image because it makes me feel nostalgic. All the trees which are bundled together give off an impression of a deep forest, and the warm colours of the image gives off a very cozy and calm atmosphere. This reminds me of the big forests that I used to see back in my home country.
Exercise 5
For this exercise, I challenged myself with a restriction and tried to take images of things below me. I took this as an opportunity to capture a close up image of the water near my feet. I've always been fascinated my photographs of water, seeing the details in the ripples and the change of colour, so I finally decided to try it out myself!
Exercise 6
For this exercise, I chose to recreate the photo above. I wanted to try and capture a sense of ''light at the end of the tunnel'', and thought that trees managed to portray that fairly well. My photo could definitely be brighter, but I think that the light in contrasted nicely with the dark branches and leaves.
